One size does not fit all in the nutrition world! Your goals, activity level and body type are not the same as your spouse, neighbor or friend – so your nutrition plan should be customized to you, your lifestyle and your goals.
If you would like to implement strategic daily fitness and nutrition practices into your lifestyle that are realistic and don’t leave you feeling deprived, this program is for you! - Healthy Mind & Body Program – this program is an online course that we will do as a group and is only available to those who purchase supplementation. We will start this part of the program on Monday, October 17, 4 weeks after the challenge starts. This program will require an additional 10-15 minutes of daily, consistent action (on your own schedule) and costs $39, which can be paid prior to starting the program. This consistency changes the way you think and live by forging new habits and creating a healthier new identity.
After speaking with a few of you, I am addressing and answering some of your questions below!
You are not required to purchase supplements during the 16 week challenge, but they are offered and sometimes recommended – and here is why:
For the past 4 years, I have studied, cooked, exercised, earned additional fitness certifications and spent 2015 preparing for a nutrition coaching exam (which, yes, I did pass!) all while experiencing lots of “life” – just like the rest of us! I understand that nutrition is extremely important in how we fuel our bodies and brains, but I also understand that we are all faced with obstacles and emotions in our day-to-day lives that can hinder our healthy eating habits.
One of the best ways to consistently have healthy options to consume is to meal prep. This means, taking time to prepare food each week in advance – for instance:
- washing and cutting vegetables so they’re ready to eat at any time
- cooking and preparing lean proteins
- cooking healthy grains
In this challenge, we will spend a lot of time talking about meal prepping for the week ahead! Some of you might start with small changes like just washing and cutting your veggies, and some will have a heftier load like preparing and portioning meals. Either way, we will start options that work for you. This whole meal prep thing is a habit that helps change lives because when we plan our nutrition out in advance, we have more chances of reaching our health and wellness goals.
However…….sometimes we are busy. Sometimes we are tired. Some of us have kids who need to be more than one place at a time. Sometimes we are overwhelmed.
This is where something like a high-quality supplement not only comes in handy, but can be essential.
We will talk a lot about protein (as well as the other macronutrients) in this challenge – and unless you have prepared your protein for each day, it can be difficult to get enough! Do you know that some of the public recommendations for protein consumption are based on the VERY minimum amount that you would need? This means, the recommended amount is just so that you are not protein deficient.
We will talk about the importance of vegetables and why it’s a great idea to double up on them to make sure you receive your daily dose of disease-fighting phytonutrients. But if you don’t your fresh veggies prepped, a greens supplement can provide these nutrients for you. (got spirulina?)
So this is my angle when it comes to the supplement world – I am not offering you crazy stimulants or artificial “diet” ingredients – these are simply supplements to supplement your real food choices!
Please let me know if you have any questions – I am happy to chat with you!
If you should choose to not use the supplementation, here is the pricing:
$99 for the first month
$29 for the following 3 months. (You will be billed each month on the 17th of each month.)
Should you decide that you would like to add supplementation at any time later, the monthly fee will be waived.
If you purchase supplements, the initial fee is waived
Should you not continue to use supplements for months 2, 3 or 4, the $29 fee will be applied.
If you have further questions that you think others would benefit from hearing, please post them in the comment section below and I will answer them in this blog post.
